An original way to give a gift: in a walnut!

Crack open the walnut. Be careful not to destroy the shell.
-
Take out the nut and scrape out the inside of the shell.

Put a gift, or some money, into the nut. A piece of jewellery, such as a ring or a necklace is especially good.

With a glue gun, close the nut.
-
(Optionally) Glue on two wiggly eyes

Well, obviously you open a nut with a nutcracker. So also this nut when it is glued back together.

I did this when I was in 6th grade and gave it as a gift to my teacher with a couple dollars inside. Sometimes when I cracked a walnut it would crack in two halves and I would save them for cool stuff like this.

this kinda reminds me of those little nuts where they attatch those hinges to them... and you open it up and the little bug is inside and the legs wiggle and.. stuff... :O
