Preheat oven to somewhere around 175 C.
Crush your nuts to a powder. Then combine all the dry ingredients.

Whip the egg whites until they form stiff peaks.

Mix the dry ingredients with the whites. Do this gently so as not to deflate the egg.

Form balls of the mixture and place them on a baking tray. If you are using toppings, put them on now. Bake for 10 minutes, or until the sides are golden-brown.
Alternatively, instead of putting toppings on now, you could wait until they are baked and slightly cooled and then drizzle on melted chocolate.

For the kisses on the left, I used coconut and topped with bits of chocolate. The kisses on the right were made with crushed walnut and topped with hazelnuts. Enjoy!
