  • How to make a tutu. No Sew Tutu - Step 1
    Step 1

To Make This Tutu You'll Need:

Tulle - 2 Yards Of Each Color But You Probably Won't Use It All.
    Elastic
    Measuring Tape
    Strong Quilting Needle
    Thread - I Use White
A Clip - Optional, I Use It To Hold The Elastic Together.

  • How to make a tutu. No Sew Tutu - Step 2
    Step 2

Take Your Elastic & Measure It To The Length You'd Like It To Be.

This Is Usually A Waist Measurement That Someone Has Given Me Because I Don't Make These For Myself.

  • How to make a tutu. No Sew Tutu - Step 3
    Step 3

Clip Or Hold The Ends Together & Sew Them. It Doesn't Have To Look Perfect Just Make Sure It's Secure.

  • How to make a tutu. No Sew Tutu - Step 4
    Step 4

Take Your Tulle & Cut It Into Strips.
For This One I Used Bright Blue, Green, Purple, & Hot Pink.

  • How to make a tutu. No Sew Tutu - Step 5
    Step 5

I Stretch My Elastic Across The Back Of A Chair.

Or If You're Making A Small One, For Say A Child, You Can Stretch Around Your Thigh.

  • How to make a tutu. No Sew Tutu - Step 6
    Step 6

Fold The Strips In Half & Loop It Around The Elastic By Pulling The Ends Through The Loop.

  • How to make a tutu. No Sew Tutu - Step 7
    Step 7

Keep Repeating Step 6 With As Many Colors As You Choose.

I'm Choosing To Use 2 Of Each Color To Make The Colors More Prominent.

@TURTLE , you could find them at a fabric store, would probably be your best bet to find the right amounts. Though you never know what pops up at your local thrift stores.

Beautiful.

Did it once, didn't want to again. That chair tip would have saved me a lot of work. I might have another crack at it.

Thanks a bunch!
