  1. Step 1

    Step 1

First I needed a piece of paper and for my first shot out I thought I'd use some recycled newspaper paper. This page with a photo of barbed wire was very cool.

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

I trimmed the page down to just the photo.

  3. Step 3

    Step 3

Fold over the width you want your bag to be.

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

Then fold the opposite side over so it overlaps, in this case about 1/4 of an inch but depending on the size of your bag it could be more or less.

  5. Step 5

    Step 5

Glue the wide side over the short side.

  6. Step 6

    Step 6

Valley fold the two small sides.

  7. Step 7

    Step 7

Fold one of the bottom corners up to get a rough idea how wide the bottom of your bag will be and then fold the bottom of the bag up about 1/4 of an inch past this point to get the bottom fold of the bag.

  8. Step 8

    Step 8

Then fold the bottom of the bag like you fold the side of a present. Glue the triangle areas and the long flaps.

    And here you have it:

And if you are wondering what the little closure is on top? It is a beer bottle cap pinched and folded in half.
