New Apron
 <  Image 1 of 3  >

My Mom gave me some of her clothes a while ago so that I could cut them up and use them for whatever. She had this one shirt that I was actually going to re-do into a new shirt for myself but I was afraid that it would come out a little to "grandma-ey". So, I decided to hack it up anyways and turn it into a new apron.

No lynne, I didn't take a step by step process of the thing. It's actually really easy though. The cut the back of the shirt right under the sleeves and then hemmed up the sides. The pocket (as you can see) was made from the bottom front part of the shirt. Then for the ties, I just used the remaining fabric and sewed it into strips to make the ties. It's actually really easy to do.

That looks fantastic, what a great way to reuse an old shirt!
