I bought this little black dress from a yard sale for a quarter :D and thought the neckline was not my style so I changed it up a bit c:
I bought this little black dress from a yard sale for a quarter :D and thought the neckline was not my style so I changed it up a bit c:
First I carefully removed these brown beads and the string making the neckline bare.
Alright this next part is a bit hard to explain but I'll try my best. Fold the string in half and find the middle. Next sew the middle of the string to the middle of the neckline. After that take the two strings and wrap it around your neck (the blue and green in the picture shows it)
After you understand the picture in the 2nd step you sew the string to the ends of the neckline but not too tight you gotta make sure your head can fit.(doing this with a friend is a lot easier I did this by my self so I actually sewn this while wear the dress xD )
Next take the strings from the ends of the neckline and tie a knot on the next string to the right (so from the picture in step 2 you would tie a knot where the grey line crosses the blue line) Tie another knot from the other side ( so this one would be where the pink line that crosses over the green line)
After you are done with the knots there should be a little bit of string left (this dress had a very long string) take the left string (grey) and it goes around your neck. Take the right string (pink) and wrap it around your neck and tie the ends. Look at the picture if you don't understand me.
Next just add the studs and sew the knots and the ends of the strings so nothing moves and looks weird later on :p well i hope you understand the steps Dx
