Quick little gift made from your roving stash.

Create your one of a kind pin cushion for all your friends who sew. Using your scrap roving, a small container, some straight pins, hot glue and less than 20 min of your time.

Add to Favorites Add Your Version

  1. Step 1

Center: Take a bat of roving, make a nice sized ball, punch into itself with your needlefeling needle. Cover with the center colour, keep poking and stabbing until you have your desired look.

  2. Step 2

Petals: Use a sponge to stab into. Lay out as many petals as you need, I use about double the length of the desired petal because you'll fold it over and continue felting for your chosen shape and thickness.

  3. Step 3

Assemble: Felt the petals around the center ball, when all are on, put a nice glob of hot glue at the bottom of the container to hold your flower in the pot.

  4. Step 4

    Decorate: With straight pins.
