Here's a sewing wallet I made from felt.
I cut cardboard and then blanket stitched around the edges, using an additional small piece of felt as the binding. I created a needle holder on the left, and pins and scissor keeper on the right.

This is really neat! Well, it's a heck of a lot better than accidentally stabbing yourself a million times reaching into your bag for those finicky plastic boxes.
