  1. Step 1

    Step 1

    Take your sheet of Shrinkies

Draw on the rough side (if you would like your necklace to be on the shiny side draw your design backwards, otherwise it will be matt) your name or slogan, the font needs to be as large as possible (the plastic shrinks dramatically) with each letter connecting to the next.

Alternatively you can make a stencil, I do this by using my computer printing off a font gluing the paper onto card and cutting it out.

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

Once you are happy with the design cut ot out then using a hole punch carefully punch a hole at either end, this will make it easier to attach to a chain.

  3. Step 3

    Step 3

Put your shrinkies in the oven following the instructions on the packet.

If your design comes out of the oven with curled edges simply flatten it using a book or magazine whilst it is still warm.

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

After you have left it to cool attach a jump ring to either end, or thread the chain straight through the holes

    Enjoy!!

This is so cute! :]
How did you so neatly cut out the gaps in the letters?
Just scissors and talent?

this is really cool! ive wanted to do these kinds of things for ages!
but what do you use to cut them out, as scissors are terrible to cut round corners on shrink plastic and you cant cut the middle of letters out (for example - the hole inside the O).
