This is a name garland i made for my daughter's door as her unusual name means can't get anything with her name on shop-bought!

  • Step 1

Cut out templates for the letters you need. i just used paper for mine. Then use the templates to copy the letters to the fabric.

*as i used fleece material i cut out a reverse of the letters for the back*

  • Step 2

Once the letters are cut out, embellish with beads, buttons etc.

  • Step 3

Now use the ribbon to attatch the fronts of letters together. I put buttons in between each letter at this stage too.

  • Step 4

Once the letters are all on the ribbon, use either very thin ribbon or embroidery thread to sew the backs of the letters to the front.

*Depending on the size of the letters, you could stuff them but as mine were fairly small i decided against this!*
