Homemade area rug
 <  Image 1 of 4  >

I have always wanted to make my own area rug, so I finally did it. Because a real area rug are costly and that's without a smaller rug or runner to match, I decided to make my own out of woven material (the kind you would usually use for covering furniture), some contrasting burlap material for the bottom and some pretty lace. I don't know how big this is, but it's huge. And it's easier to clean; I can just throw it in the wash instead of having to pay to get it cleaned as you would have to do with a real rug that won't fit into your washer.
