And I'm sure if i can scale it down you clever peeps can scale it back up again.
Its all one piece (apart fron the optional cord) so minimal sewing up..

I used the smallest needles i could find, UK size 12, and a ball of fuzzy acrylic I had lying around. I cast on about 24 stitches, as I remember, which was the width of her back before i knit my first row, and obvioulsy got a bit longer once i had started knitting, so it starts to reach around the sides too :).

Garter Stitch till you are almost satisfied with the length, as this dictates the hemline of the garment. Obv, if you want stripes or a decorative stich on the back do it now..
A few Rows short, i think on mine its about 7ish, cast on for your sleeves. im not sure how many i did, im guessing about 30, but go nuts :P -
To my pattern, Knit (or purl :P) 6 stitches, cast off 12 and knit(or Purl) the last 6 for the neck. I think this is pretty open to interpretation if you are experimenting...

Leave one side of your jumper on the needle until you've finished the other one, which you can either increase gradually (take note to do the same on the other side if you want it to be at all symetrical) as the pattern says, or just garter stitch straight down (like i did), until the front panel and the back meet when folded at the shoulder. Oh, and don't forget the sleeves! once the end of the sleeve fits around the thickest part of your dolls arm, possibly the upper arm, possibly the hand and thumb, esp. if the fingers are splayed, then cast off.

cast off and repeat with the other side.

I knitted a cord to hold it together, like a dressing gown, but you could use buttons (remember your buttonholes!) or anything you like. I cast on about 50ish stitches and knit a row and cast off.

sew up the sleeves and down the sides so it looks like a jumper :P
obv turn it inside out to hide the seams, but you knew that. :)

Nope, she's a Pullip, by Jun Planning. They are quite similar, but I think Blythe is a bit creepy :P.
