I love this one...
 <  Image 1 of 9  >

Adam (my husband) likes to light candles in his studio (room) while he makes beats. I thought I might-as-well make him some inspirational musical themed candles.I also made one for my buddy Tim (who loves Nina Simon...like me)

  1. Step 1

    Step 1

You probably already have this stuff lying around at home. Bring it out.

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

We went to the dollar store and bought some glass candle holders/& some unlabeled candles. You can also get them at Michael's or your nearest craft store.

  3. Step 3

    Step 3

and then of course tissue paper...pretty cheap.

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

then go to your printer and print out stuff you like. Make sure its the size of your glass candle holder, this way it looks la-jet when you paste it onto the glass.

  5. Step 5

    Step 5

now cut out your piece of tissue paper a little bit smaller then your glass.

  6. Step 6

    Step 6

    cut out your print

  7. Step 7

    Step 7

now paint the mod podge onto the candle holder, its ok if it white it will dry clear.

  8. Step 8

    Step 8

This is the hard step: make sure you CAREFULLY place the already cut tissue paper onto the candle. NOTE: if you handle to rough the tissue paper will tare and leave finger prints.

  9. Step 9

    Step 9

now paint your print with some podge too.

  10. Step 10

    Step 10

and paste the picture on top of the tissue paper that is already on your candle holder.

  11. Step 11

    Step 11

now podge all over the entire candle holder. Like I said before its ok that it turns white, it dries clear.

  12. Step 12

    Step 12

wait a few hours and let the glue dry...

  13. Step 13

    Step 13

light your candle and tada you have your cool looking candle holder...

  14. Step 14

    Step 14

all done...now go make your own!

I LOVE these!!!! I was looking for something like this for my lounge, so thankyou so much for posting the how-to cause it's saved me a bunch of cash now I know how to do it myself!
Just a couple of questions though - I am in the UK and I haven't been able to get Modge Podge anywhere (so I'm presuming they don't sell it over here!?) - is there anything similar that could work? PVA glue maybe?
Also, can you use regular tumbler glasses or high-ball glasses; or do they have to be special candle glasses (sorry if I sound dumb but I dunno if they're a different thickness/type of glass)
Thanks again!
