this is a fun project! you can do several at a time with just a few added minutes to the overall project time.
A good project for beginers to teach simple machine and hand sewing skills.

  • How to make a squid plushie. Mr Dizzy Squid - Step 1
    Step 1

    1 - Cut out 2 each of the Squid Body pattern, from the fleece color of your choice. We like orange but many other colors work great too.

    2 - Cut out the desired number of eyes and accessories, from chosen fabric.

    3- Hand sew eyes, mouth and/or band aid to face of body. (see pattern for suggestions or make your own choice) ~ use your own judgemnt to make squid look one of a kind ~ add earrings and an eye patch to make him a pirate ~ follow the hadn stitching suggestion to make his eyes "dizzy" ~ hand stich across to make a flat mouth or wavy or O or smiling.

    Step 4

    4- Sew, (using machine) at 1/4" seam allowances, right sides together. Leave open at bottom, clip seams at sharp corners.
    5 ~ Turn - right side out and stuff with fiberfill.
    6 ~ Hand sew shut - add extras of your own choosing....
    TA DA ! Done... Hug and enjoy!
