Lots of pictures, I know, but I wanted to include all of them! I like to make Mother's Day presents rather than buy them (unless I'm told something specific), and I like to make presents for my grandmother and my great grandmother as well as my mom, so nobody feels left out. c:
I initially was just going to make them all jewelry, and then I decided to get a little creative with delivery, thus the origami. The bracelet (made with stretch string, seed beads, pottery beads, and lava beads) and lotus are for my mother. A word of warning, don't ever try to make an origami lotus using scrapbooking paper. It was the most difficult thing ever, and I hated every second of it, because of all the folds.
The pencil necklace (made with clear string, a bunch of silver "rock" beads and a couple pendants) and bunny are for my grandmother. The bunny is the most fun origami I've ever made, mostly because I got to inflate it. :3
The silver necklace with the green gem (just a chain with a pendant put on it, it's simple) and star box are for my great grandmother. She's a very "simple jewelry" kind of lady.
I'm super proud of the origami, even if the lotus came out a little torn and tattered, thanks to my use of scrapbooking paper. :P
This necklace takes its inspiration from the Edwardian era with fresh, light colours and an informal, feminine style.
This lovely necklace with its fresh colours will put a spring in your step.
