build the 'saving spirit'

Here he is! My little monster, his name is-- actually, i don't know what his name is yet. All i know is that he loves to eat and is very protective over his food! :D i made him to keep my money safe and sound :) i've recently gotten a quite 'low' allowance -__- (that truth be told i'm not that pleased about), so i've decided that i would like to save up my money and spend it wisely :D

I created this moneybox myself, only made out of a tin can, fabric, and fleece... the basic supplies actually, with the addition of foam i added to reduce the noise between the coins and the tin :D making this was really fun for me! the whole design was mine, every stitch of string and fabric.

every time my wallet gets a little fat, i feed the little dude some money! even if its only a little bit :P just slip it through his teeth :D

i'd encourage this to all children because i think it's a great way to build the 'saving spirit' and to teach kids that you have to work hard to earn things :D

i actually only have about 50 thousand rupiahs (5 US dollars) in his tummy now but i'm sure it will build up :D

That is so cute! I love how you actually "feed" it the money! Happy
