A minty fresh badge that's sure to get some smiles!

Like many crafters I hate having to throw anything away which is how this badge came about. This is my first how-to so I hope i've explained myself well enough for you guys to be able to make one too!

  1. Step 1

The first thing you need to do is cover your gum wrappers so they don't tear or get soggy in the rain! I used plastic laminating film which you use for covering books but clear packaging tape would work fine too!

  2. Step 2

Now you need to stick all the wrappers together, I used a glue gun for this but if you don't have one then just sew it all together instead. Take your first wrapper & pop a bit of glue in the centre & then place the next wrapper on top so it forms a cross & leave to dry. Basically repeat this until you've glued all the wrappers together in a rosette-like pattern.

  3. Step 3

Now place quite a big blog of glue on top of your final wrapper and squish your button down on top of it & leave to dry. Now flip your badge over & do the same with your badge back

  4. Step 4

Now wear your minty fresh badge with pride!
