business cards are so 1999.

Instead of the same old busniess card I made these little press kits to show off my work

  1. Step 1

    Step 1

    first you need to draw up a template in Illustator. Search google for press kit and import that picture into illustator.

    Trace the image with the pen tool and delete the image.

    Now you will have a template to use.

    (make sure that you group the image. using appleG)

    (an example of a press kit is included)

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

    now open another page in illustator and make a template for your business cards.

    the larger card should be 2.5x3

    the med card should be 2x3.5

    the smallest card should be 2.5x3

    (here is a sample of 2.5x3 busn. cards)


  3. Step 3

    now look in your computer for images you want to add to the press kit cover and the cards that go inside it.

    use photoshop to resize or change the colour of the images as you wish.

  4. Step 4

    now bring the templates to Indesign and place the images and text into the templates.


  5. Step 5

    Step 5

    once you are satistified with your presskit, print it off.

    use sissors or a paper cutter to cut the templates out.

  6. Step 6

    once they are cut

    fold the press kit cover and glue the flaps.

    insert busn. cards and place into a holder
