My idea for a jean purse began when I was in 8th grade and had an old pair of jeans. I made a sloppy, yet durable purse out of that pair, but it was too awkward to carry around. I used the entire width of the pants for the purse. I decided to shrink it by using only half of my jeans. It was still somewhat large, so I went to a second-hand store and bought kid's jean shorts. I used half of those for my purse. I used left-over jean fabric for the purse handles, but you can use anything, really.
