Mini Doll House

Turn a 3D frame or old box in to a lovely little home for your dollies.

  1. Step 1

    Take a good sized box or preferably a 3D frame.

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

    Remove the back and draw where a window should be.

    Take a sharp knife and a ruler.

  4. Step 4

    Cut out the window you drew.

    Paint the inside of the frame or box.

    Print out a pretty pattern on to paper, this will be the wallpaper.

    Cut the paper to the shape of the back wall.

    Glue it down and leave to dry.

    Stick some strong glue on the base of your box / frame.

    Stick down a piece of carpet. If you don't have any spare carpet you could use some thick fabric or sew a little patchwork rug.

    Pierce two holes at either side of the window, just above the top.

    Cut two lengths of wire.

    Wrap another length of wire around the two.

    Cut two more shorter lengths of wire.

    Wrap the middle in a loop around the bar you made earlier and then slip off.

    Place these two loops through the holes on the back wall and secure at the back.

    Cut two rectangles of fabric, these will be the curtains.

    Stitch part of the fabric over the bar to make a loop.

    Slip the curtains on to the bar.

    Attach a bead at either side of the bar to secure the curtains.

    Cut two strips of fancy ribbon and glue them around the edges of the box / frame.

    Print out some photos, one of an outside scene and some for the walls.

    Stick the outside scene on the outside of the window facing in.

    Fold the wire in to an oval and wrap the ends around the middle.

    Take two more lengths of wire, these will be the legs.

    Make legs by folding the wire in to loops at the end and then attach to the chair.

    Wrap more wire all over the chair to make it in to a seat.

    Cut a square of fabric and stitch it together to make a cushion. Place it on the chair and put the chair in the doll house. All done, more fun doll house projects coming soon.

ı will be a preschool teacher. ıf you are a preschool teacher, you have to create new toys for your students. it is the most important thing about new toys. because new toys sometimes cost much.(if you buy toys from toy shops.) it is a good idea to make a house. home home sweet home:))))

this is so cute, when i do art shadow boxes we use a similar idea except the box isnt as deep, this is so nice though, very very cute
