Cute simple card and cash wallet
This is a pretty simple wallet to make just difficult to explain how all the fabric folds. Hope I haven't made it to tricky to understand!
If you get confused at any point leave a comment and i'll try to explain it as best I can!

    Step 1

Cut out two strips of fabric: one 11x43cm and one 11x39cm

    Step 2

Mark out the fold lines with a fabric pen or chalk as show in the picture.

on the shorter piece this is in intervals at:
    16cm, 8cm, 8cm, 3.5cm, 3.5cm

    and on the longer:
    10cm, 10cm, 6.5cm, 6.5cm, 5cm, 5cm

    Step 3

Fold the shorter piece of fabric as show in the image with the right side of the fabric facing down so that it encloses the wrong side inside. top stitch the two ends. (you may want to press the folds first)

    Step 4

With the longer piece of fabric follow the accordion fold shown in the image and top stitch each flap making sure you dont stitch all the flaps together (very confusing to explain alongside my drawing but just sew each flap individually with only two layers of fabric being sewn at once). again you may want to press this before you sew.

    Step 5

On to the first piece you top sewed, attach either some Velcro, a button hole or some other form of fastening to the end of the large flap and, on the opposite side of the short flap (which will eventually be folded up so it will be on the same side), sew the corresponding Velcro or button.

    Step 6

Now get you accordion piece and line it up inside the other piece with the bottom of all the accordion flaps tucked inside the short flap on the other section. top sew along the end of the short flap making sure you catch all the accordion layers inbetween.

The final stage is to sew some bias tape (either bought or made from matching fabric) up both of the raw sides again making sure you catch all the layers securely inbetween.

Now fill it with cards and cash, fold it in half and it's ready to be used!
