materials:

plastic from the sticky bra: for shape

glitter

glitter and pearly paint

other things to decorate: i decided against it last min.

get the mold ready

(i had a hard time getting the dried piece off because it was curved and some parts were a little dented) i might try some oil next time- not 100% sure about that though

make some shell like design and then smear in a textured way (i used a fan brush)

add another layer of color

(you can decide on how long you want to wait till it dries or dont wait at all, dependent on how thick your layers are and how many you want)

created the scalloped edge after the majority of the base layers where created to keep a defined edge

also created a rough, peaky texture like a shell would

kept adding colors to create more depth and contrast in the texture

while the last layer was drying i made some stars on a smaller piece of plastic and before it dried, added some glitter

make them in different sizes and in different colors

use tacky glue to add glitter to the parts you want

(i added it everywhere ;) and i used fine and coarse glitter from my heels- see my http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/glitter-shoes glitter shoes project for my footwear

spray paint and/or dab acrylic paint to the bra if you dont like the color

glue gun the shells to the bra

glue gun the stars to the shells and bra

and it looks like you were born with shells on, not like you tied some plastic ones on that fit like coconuts. no smushy smushy, just call it wonder shells.
