They look fun and yummy and they are!
I used my own recipe of 6 ounces of butter, sugar and flour with 3 eggs and I forgot to add vanilla essence but usually would use it.
I used Betty Crocker's 'Ready to Use' icing and added about 5 lid fulls of red food colouring to a third of the can. The smell of this frosting makes my dog moan at the kitchen counter for cupcakes! The frosting didn't go completely red but any more colouring and it would have made the frosting too runny.
If there's a mess to be made I will make it; I HAVE RED FINGERS!
