  • How to make a pastie. Mardi Gras Pasties, Felted Wool - Step 1
    Step 1

I cut out a fleur de lis pattern and put it on my felting board and
just laid the roving on top and needle felted it till it was even all around the edges.

  • Step 2

Next, I beaded 6 strings between 3 and 4 inches with 2 sets of three colors of beads. I used purple, gold and green for mardis gras. Then I looped the beads and tied the ends in the back of the fleur de lis.

    Step 3

Feathers are glued on next and I used the same color theme. Gold, green, and purple. Just a dab of hot glue and the feathers should stay in place.

  • Step 4

the last step is covering the back with felt so you can't see the feathers glued on the back. To make the pasties stick use eylash glue or a double sticky tape.
