    Make a drying rack for your wet beads by poking holes in an old cardboard tube.

    Stick one toothpick in one side of each wood bead.

    Put water in your bowl. It needs to be deep enough so that you can submerge the entire bead in the water.

    Pour nail polish into the water. There is no rhyme or reason to this part. Just sort of pour and dot the colors in the water.

    Swirl the polish around with a toothpick

    Holding on to the toothpick, dip the bead into the water until it is totally submerged.

    Pull the bead straight out.

    Stick another toothpick in the other opening in the bead. This will keep the hole from being closed over with paint.

    Put the toothpick into one of the holes in your drying rack and leave it until dry.

    Repeat the dipping process with all the beads and let them dry.

    Remove the toothpicks from the beads and string them on length of elastic beading thread. You might want to use the needle to get the thread through the holes easily.
