I slightly mixed different colors of polymer clay together in my pasta machine, cut it all apart, put it back together and smoothed it over with the back of a spoon. I made the crap out of these when I started doing clay, but they were just so much fun to see the pattern evolve as I went! I took my little hand drill and put holes through after I baked it (I could never get holes to go right for me while the clay was soft) and threaded it with cording.
The green one was one of my first so it's kinda wobbley... but I still wear it all the time :)

I started out dipping them in a clear varnish, but that can yellow after a while (even the can that said "non-yellowing" on it) but clear spray paint works pretty good.

I did this! I made a TON of pendulums for my friends. :D Its SO fun.
I also did it for some crazy beads for Kandi.
Yours look great though! I love the idea of cutting and putting together and everything. And the boarder is awesome :D
