Map Flowers

  • Completed Project: Map Flowers Picture #1

Map flowers

I made this basket for IDOT...a lady was retiring and instead of just a plain flower center piece I did origami flowers out of maps...shredded map was used in place of moss and grass...took some time but it did turn out rather beautiful...oh the flowers were sprayed with a bit of paint mixed with water in a spray bottle...

  1. Step 1

Sorry I dont have any photos..take any origami flower and tape it to a floral stick...I added leaves to mine...make enough to make a full basket

  2. Step 2

shred some colored paper for the grass...stick a foam brick in the bottom of the basket and cover it up with the shredded paper.

  3. Step 3

mix some paint with water in a spray bottle...spritz the flower lightly..set it to the side and let me dry...once dry add them to the basket and stick shredded paper around the flowers...and there ya go...flowers that never wilt...
