1. 

   

   Here, we have a 14 x 14 peg board. This comes at most craft stores, but chances are you aren't going to need one this size unless you are making something small. 3 in. figures can be made such as Space Invaders or Mario Coins (Video game), but if you want something original these can be fun for small projects.

   After making these things for a long time I have come to find that square peg boards aren't the limit. Here is a circle peg board I got in a tub of beads. These are good for making circular things like Pokeballs (Pokemon) and original projects but if you want big pixel sprites these wont do it either. I actually have tons of these and trying to get rid of them. If you want one you can swap me a craft item for it. Here are some of the shapes I have in my own collection:
   - Hexagon (3)
   - Square (1)
   - Heart (4)
   - Star of David (2)
   - Cat (1)
   - Circle (3)
   - Dog (1)
   - Fish (1)

   Last, these are my favorite peg boards. You can buy these online only (I have checked the stores). For $10 +Shipping you can get 4 of these large peg boards. The dimensions are on the picture. They connect on the outside and are PERFECT for big projects. Alright, since we have gone over the peg board sizes lets go onto the actual beads.

   You can get beads two ways. Buy them in bulk at the store or buy them online in packs. The tub on the left is the basic tub of beads you can get at the store. They come with all sorts of colors and spread apart. If you buy them at the store and want them divided you can get those sets they have with project ideas. This is more expensive but they are separated. I suggest those if you are just doing small projects for yourself. The big tub is only if you want to be serious and make tons of them. The packs online run about $3-4 + Shipping and come with 1,000 or 5,000 beads of the same color. Now that you have the materials, next is the first part of creation.

   Another thing on your "To buy" list if you plan on making huge perler creations is the paper to melt it with. You can buy huge sheets online, but if you are just doing small projects you can get it free with your sets you buy at the store.

   This is an optional step depending on how well you can see. First, you choose what you want to do and blow up the image on the computer. Just make it bigger so you can see all the pixels. From there, you can chart out on graph paper and crayons/markers where everything belongs. This makes the following steps LOADS easier, but if you want to just do it from what you see than you can do that too.

   As a Rule of Thumb, I usually start with the black outline and then from there go by colors. Make sure your beads match every pixel because if you are short it will alter your image. Everything should go smoothly from there as far as putting them together and then all there is left to do is Iron it. In this picture here it shows how tiny mess ups can also affect your creation. There is one bead off on this and so I am selling it on sale at my shop. Can you spot the purple bead?

   Lastly, is the question I get from all people who are interested in buying Perler Creations from me. What can you do with them? Well there are plenty of ideas for that. You can attach magnets to the back and have cool fridge magnets, you could put them up on the wall as scenes, you can hang them from the wall (Ex. my boyfriend and I hung a bunch of Bloopers(Squid) up on the ceiling of our bathroom from mario.) You can make earings out of the smaller ones, give them away as gifts, make coasters, make piggy banks, or use them to decorate gifts. The sky is the limit.
