Fold all of your plain 8 1/2 by 11 inch pieces of paper in half and also fold the colored paper. (if the design is only on one side put the design facing in) Put one inside the other, like a book.

Adaline - very nice book. Using fabric is a really nice touch.

Altered Angel - To answer your question -
All the pages that you sewed together (in Step 1) are attached to the cover when you glue the first page to the inside front of the book and the last page to the back of the book (in Step 6). Hope that helps.

I'm so sorry to be the dumb person, but this is a great project and I'd love to try it. I don't know anything about making books (which will be obvious!) but I got lost at putting the pages in? How do you attach them to the cover? Sorry :/

I too made something similar; different materials for the cover (foam core) and I added a spine. I'm going to try making with lines on the pages, may just use regular notebook paper. Hmmmm

Kind of ironic. I did something like that last night, but in my own version I suppose. Mine only had one difference, it had a middle section because I put in 200 sheets of paper. It's always fun to make books lol.
