These bracelets have been around for a LONG time, and commonly are worn by hippies or natives. They are said to make your wish come true. You can make these in a variety of colours, each one symbolizing a category for your wish. Red or pink= Love, Blue= Relief, Yellow/Orange= Happiness, Green= Wealth, Rainbow/All different colours= Peace

  • How to make an anklet. Make A Wish Bracelet - Step 1
    Step 1

First, your going to cut about one meter of embroidery floss (two strings, both different colours of your choice. It really depends on the size of your wrist or ankle. I have pretty skinny ankles, so I cut a little bit below my waist. Fold the strings in half and tie a knot, creating a loop.

    Step 2

Start doing a chinese staircase pattern. Do about half an inch, and then proceed to the next step.

    Step 5

Repeat this whole process until you have enough beadsa to fit around your wrist/ankle. Then, do another chinese staircase and put the remaining strings through the loop at the top. Tie a knot that will be REALLY secure. You're done! Now, make a wish! But remember, you can NEVER take the bracelet off. It must fall off on its own to make your wish come true. And be aware that it's just a bracelet, therefore, it has no magical powers to make your wish come true. It will just be there, so whenever you touch it, or fidget with it, you think about your wish, and it will be there to remind you to reach your goal :)
