This gurl loves the coral colored Lauren Moffatt dress and coat, but since they're not really affordable without going into debt, I decided to make one of my own.
1
I'm in love with this dress but it's really out of my price range.
2
I decided to make one with a dress I found at Forever 21 for $8.

You'll need a dress that is similar in color, fabric paint (I used Tulip--Linen color), a paint brush, card stock, sharpie and a scissor to cut the stencil. I drew the arrows on card stock then cut out the inside.
I simply ironed the dress, laid it on a flat surface with cardboard underneath the layer I was painting, then put the stencil on top and started painting. Tape down or hold the stencil in place. Paint and let dry. The project takes about 2 hours to complete not including the drying time. You can always use a blow dryer if you want to hurry the process along. I let each application dry, laid the stencil down again to attach the arrow to the last group and painted again.

Alternate the second row with the arrows pointed the other direction. Paint three rows. Take your time painting.
Follow the directions on the paint bottle to iron set the paint.

Now you'll have a great little dress in time for Easter!

I also love her coat!

You could make a look alike with this blazer from Forever 21!
