The perfect gift for a fellow crafter!
So my friends and I gathered for a art and crafty meeting. Lovely. Sewing with friends - what more could you want? One of my friends brought along a magnetic needle case! Wow - I thought - it was really cool. But I knew I could make one myself. So eventually I came up with this...

Happy Making!

P.S: This makes a great present too!

  • Step 1

First, lay out your chosen paper and measure your matchbox's height and width with your pencil. Then cut it out.

  • Step 2

Next, carefully wrap it around your matchbox lid and trim up the edges.

  • Step 3

    Embellish your lovely matchbox.

One of the best things about this project is that the options for decorating are endless! If you are giving them as a gift you can personalise the needle case to its receiver!

  • Step 4

Cut out your magnet strip and slip it into the matchbox. He he, you're done - already!

Great use of matchbooks and a GENIUS idea to hold needles. They always get lost in my pins. On second thought, you could make pin holders from them, too. Ooh!
