Magazine Sushi

Roll up your old magazines in to cute sushi decorations.

  1. Step 1

    Step 1

    Cut long strips from white, green and orange magazine pages, about 1" wide.

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

    Take one of the orange strips and roll it up in to a little cylinder. Glue it down at the end.


  3. Step 3

    Step 3

    Make 3 of these and stick them together.

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

    Take a white strip and wrap it around the 3 cylinders. Continue round and round, gluing on new white strips, until the sushi becomes a nice size.


  5. Step 5

    Step 5

    When you're happy with the size of the sushi. Take a green strip and wrap it around, gluing in place.

  6. Step 6

    Step 6

    I made a couple of tiny sushi rolls and turned them in to earrings.

I used a really thick needle, it's just paper so it slipped through quite easily.

This would be such a fabulous way to send out invitations to a sushi party. You could have the 3 smaller rolls in the middle stick out slightly so that your guests could pull them out. One roll could be Time, another could be Place and the third could be RSVP. Ooooh! I am getting excited already! Thanks for such a cute idea Cat!!
