Description

Ok, so I wanted to try to draft my own pattern, did that, then I was afraid if I had measured wrong or anything I would mess up good fabric, soooo, I took an Old Tshirt and chopped it up applying my pattern! It actually turned out half way decent!

Instructions
  1. 1
    Step 1

    First the measurements:

  2. 2
    Step 2

trace all of your pattern onto a tshirt:
NOTE: I made the waist pieces and the front & back of shirt half size and cut them out on a fold:

  3. 3
    Step 3

Pin along & sew along dotted edges. Right sides together!

  4. 4
    Step 4

Back of shirt. Pin & sew right sides together.

  5. 5
    Step 5

Pin & sew front & back of shirt together. Right sides together.

  6. 6
    Step 6

Cut 2 strips from tshirt for straps. Cut & braid half of the straps. Gather the top of boob covers, place strap behind & sew.

  7. 7
    Step 7

Cut 2 rectangle shapes out to cover strap ends, fold ends over, measure & pin around where strap meets top, slide off the strap & sew.

  8. 8
    Step 8

Slide the covers back on the straps & voila... your shirt is done!

I hope that covers it all! Sorry for the overload of pics! It's my first real tute! Any questions, just ask!
    Enjoy!

I'm lovin' it! I've got T's that have holes, stains, or are just not flattering because they are so square shaped, I can see doing lots of these, with some variations. Thanks for such detailed instructions, very helpful!
