  1. Step 1

    Step 1

Make a paper template of a heart. Remember you will want this to be a lot bigger than the actual end size of the hearts. Check the instructions with your plastic to see how much it will shrink by.

  2. Step 2

    Step 2

Use your template to draw out hearts on to the rough side of a sheet of shrink plastic. Make sure to use a permanent marker to draw on the plastic or it will just wipe off. Write little love heart messages inside the hearts.

  3. Step 3

    Step 3

When the ink is all dry, cut each of the hearts out.

  4. Step 4

    Step 4

Use a hole punch to make holes in each of the hearts. It's important to do this before you shrink the plastic otherwise you might end up snapping the hearts.

  5. Step 5

    Step 5

Cover a baking sheet in tin foil and space out the hearts on top. Place in an oven heated at 350° for a few minutes. The plastic hearts will curl up, shrink and then lay flat again. When the hearts lay flat again remove them from the oven.

  6. Step 6

    Step 6

Place a heavy book down on top of the hearts to ensure that they cool flat.

  7. Step 7

    Step 7

You have now made your love heart charms.

  8. Step 8

    Step 8

Cut a length of chain that fits nicely around your wrist.

  9. Step 9

    Step 9

Attach a jewellery clasp at one end and a jump ring at the other end of the chain.

  10. Step 10

    Step 10

Slip a large jump ring through the hole on each charm.

  11. Step 11

    Step 11

Attach the jump rings to the chain, close them and you're all done.

You should be able to find shrink plastic in a local art or craft store, last resort ebay. It's about 1/2cm think when cooked!
