• Step 1

  with green yarn, and j hook,
  do your slip knot and ch4,
  join in the round, to make a ring,

• Step 2

  round1:ch2 counts as 1st dc, 11dc in ring, slip st at the top of 1st dc, (12dc)

  round2:ch2, 1dc in same ch2 space, and 2 dc in eace space around, slip st in 1st dc, (24dc)

  round3:ch2, 1dc in same ch2 space, 1dc in next space,

• Step 3

  round4: ch2 working in back loop only, 1dc in back loop of each space around,
  slip st at the top of first dc,(36dc)

  rounds5,6&7: ch2 1dc in each a space around, slip st, in the first dc, slip st in the first dc, (36dc)

• Step 4

  change to black yarn,
  rounds8&9:join black yarn and ch2, idc, in eace space around join with a slip st at the top of fist dc,(36dc)

• Step 5

  change back to green yarn,

  round10:ch2, sams st as joing, 1 dc in next space, 2 dc in next space, repeat around and join with a slip st at the top of 1st dc

  round11:ch2, dc in same space as joining, 1dc in the next 2 spaces, 2dc in next space, join with a slip st at the top of 1st dc, and bind off

• Step 6

  gold buckle:
  with gold yarn and h hook,

  ch18, join in the round careful not to twist 3sc in same space as joining, 1sc in the next 2 spaces, 3sc in the next space, 1sc in the next 5 spaces, 3sc in next space, 1sc in the next 2 spaces, 3sc in the next space, 1sc in the next 5 spaces, join with a slip st at the top of 1s sc, bind off leaving a long tail,

• Step 7

  ending sew on buckle using the long tail, on the black part of the hat, weave in tails, and enjoy your hat
