This is based on a project from the book 'zakka sewing' which is a particular style of japanese accessories and homewares. The project was originally for a camera case, but I enlarged the pattern more to make a bag. My mum Helped me with the machine sewing, but I did all the rest, it took alot of patience, but I love the result! :)
Its cute because it tells a story- the little ghost is called a rain-boy. when it rains in japan, children are encouraged to make them and hang them up in the window to make the rain stop. The girl in the door is waiting to go and play outside- how cute!
