Little Crocheted Mermaid

I crocheted this cute little mermaid for my niece's Christmas gift. To make this doll (approx. 7 1/2" tall), I modified the original ornament sized pattern by using worsted weight acrylic yarn and an H(5.0mm) hook. Each spiral lock and strand of hair is individually rooted in the stitches of her head. The hair was the most time consuming part of this project but, I thought she deserved a full, luxurious mane of hair befitting a mermaid. ;)
