    Step 2

Squish the yellow balls a bit so you get a nice thick disc shape, then flatten the black balls and press onto either side of the yellow discs. Poke a head pin through both to make a hole.

  • Step 3

Press out (or roll) some black clay so it's about 2mm thick and about 10cm by 5cm. Then roll out a sausage of white clay 10cm long and approx 1.5cm wide and lay it onto the black.

    Step 4

Fold the black around the white and roll back and forth so that the ends of the black clay meet and you get a smooth sausage.

Stack the coloured clay as pictured, slightly squishing together so they stick together, then push the head pin through. Bake all your finished beads in the oven as per the instructions on the clay packet (usually about half an hour at 130 degrees).

    Step 8

Once they've cooled, thread each clay bead onto a headpin in any order you like, threading a seed bead between each one.

Using the pliers, bend the top of the headpin into a loop and attach the earring finding.
