So this was a two year anniversary gift for my partner, I figured since they were doing the 3 heart challenge (where you beat the entire Zelda game of your choosing with only three hearts)that they should be able to do it outside of the game as well.

First you get your materials together.
I cut my plastic grid to make it smaller and easier to work with, but left room to have extra space just in case. -

So this is a grid I made, because my paint seems to be broken.
But yes, each box is a stitch, using all "X" stitches. -

Once you have the whole thing stitched cut around the edged leaving one space so your threads don't have the chance of moving.

Then put the pin on the back, if you have flat back pins then gluing them is fine, I just sewed the safety pins to the backs of mine.
