This is a painting you can enjoy in the day time and the night time! i have attached 2 LED's (light emitting diodes) to the back of the painting along with 2 strips of acetate that you simply slip out when you want the painting to go on and slide back in when you want to turn the painting off- disconnecting the wire touching the battery!
At the moment the lights should work for around 58 hours!
The painting looks very pretty in the day light too, and is painted using acrylics with holes cut into the canvas to create nice shadow effects! the holes have acetate behind them so are sturdy!
I am working on other ways to turn the painting on and off plus allowing you to change the batteries for longer life! this is my very first experiment using the LED's in my paintings! i like the effect i hope you do too!
the painting measures 12 x 10 inches
