My grandmother and I made this when I was younger. We used thick fabric, rather than chamois.
When I volunteered at Fort Stanwix, I would take it with me to wear on my apron ties.
I never added on the beads, but I would if I ever redid this. I would also use a cord rather than a leather thong.
