• 

  Step 1

  Measure the circumference and height of your bangle. Cut a rectangle of leather that is slightly bigger than the height of the bangle but fits the circumference.

  Step 2

  On the back of the leather draw two lines that mark the edges of the bangle. This is where the studs will go. The rest of the leather will wrap around the bangle to the inside.

  Step 3

  Turn the leather over. Where I drew the chalk lines on the back there is a slight indentation in the leather. Lay the studs out between these two lines to work out where you want them to go.

  Step 4

  Push the studs into the leather and using pliers/awl fold over the backs to hold them in place.

  Step 5

  Spread some strong glue over part of the bangle

• 

  Step 6

  Place your leather on to the glued area making sure the studs are in the centre. Stretch the leather as you stick it down. You might want to trim the ends straight where they meet on the outside to get a neat finish.

  Step 7

  Once the leather is glued all the way around the circumference on the outside cut some slits in the overhanging leather.

  Step 8

  Spread some more glue around the inside and fold the edges of the leather on to the inside of the bangle. Again stretch the leather as you do this to get a nice smooth finish.

  Step 9

  To make the inside neater you can always glue a thin strip of leather over the top of the folded over edges. All completed!
