Fun, personal placemats..that easily wipe clean.
Was always looking for placemats in the colour I want,but struggled. So I decided to make them myself...
They easily wipe clean, and store away...

  • How to make a placemat. Laminated: Painted & Scrapbooked ,Placemats - Step 1
    Step 1

    Get ready white cardboard/canvas
    or
    Scrapbooking Paper and scrapgoodies

    Paint your cardboard or canvas in abstract bold acrylic paint .I don`t even use brushes .I thin out my paint drop some on cardboard then move cardboard from side to side and have the paint move around and make abstract patterns.
    Do that a few times with a few colours .
    Let dry completely,preferbly in the sun.
    If you are making a scrapbook placemat,start by adding photo`s buttons..ribbons and everything you want.
    or
    Make everybody in the household their own placemat with photo`s you have taken of them .

    or use photo`s of your recent trip to Switserland,and when friends and family come to dinner ,your placemats will surely be the centre of discussion.

    After your art work is dry
    Get your Laminating machine ready
    Remember these machines take some time in getting hot enough...

    Now carefully place your artwork or scrapbook project in the laminating file pouch.
    Make sure your machine is ready !
    Place project in twice ..first upside down then ,downside up..

    Finished ..!!!

    You now have a colourfull,very interesting placemat
