My mum makes the best lamb shanks and she gave me her recipe to try out.

Step 1
Place shanks in a Pot.

Step 2Add all the ingredients.

Step 3Add enough water to cover the shanks. If you need to add more water while cooking do so.

Step 4After about an hour to an hour and a half place the shanks in a deep dish large pan. Cover with alfoil.

Cook at 180 degrees for another 2.5 hours. Or until the meat falls of the bone.

Step 6Make mashed potato to go with the shanks.
Serve and your done!
