This was the first time I had ever made a cake with actual detail. I decided on koi fishes and a single lotus because I have a slight obsession with lotus flowers and koi fishes. The frosting took a bit of practice but I finally figured out one that works and all in all I was satisfied with the outcome.

I bet that cake tasted pretty darn good ;)
I also like that you didn't go down the fondant route, that stuff tastes like yuck.
