I got this idea from my mums CWA where they were selling them after one of the members were approached by their grandson to make them some. This is not my own idea but i did try to make it

Cast on 10 - 20 rows depending on width you wanted

Knit to the length you require , to check just try to wrap around own head , keep knitting until it reaches all the way around . If too long just when you sew together the ends sew where it fits you

Cast Off
-
Put both ends together and sew with a needle with the same colour wool to fit your head!
