simple project, great for beginning knitters. basically, all you do is cast on enough stitches to reach the desired width, knit until you reach the desired length, then purl the rest, removing one stitch on each end of every row by knitting 2 stitches at a time. near the end, cast off enough stitches in the middle of the row to fit your button, then knit the remaining 2 stitches together, then cast off. sew the sides excluding the flap, of course). sew the button on and voila! good to go. :] enjoyyyy
