  Step 1

  Using 5mm needles and chunky wool:

  Front:
  CO 20

  Stocking stitch till the piece measures 9″

  Rib stitch until the entire piece measures 10″

  Cast off

• 

  Step 2

  Back:
  Pick up 16 stitches of cast on row

  With WS facing CO 4

  purl 1 row, CO 4

  knit 1 row

  Stocking stitch 4 rows

  P2tog, p to last 2, p2tog

  Stocking stitch until the piece measures 9″ from the row you picked up the 16 stitches

  With WS facing rib stitch for 1″

  Cast off

  Sew sides together

• Step 3

  Strap:

  Co 6
  Knit till 5″
  Knit 2, knit 2tog, yo, k2
  K row
  K2, k2tog, k2
  K1, s1, k1 passo, k2
  K1, s1, k1 passo, k1
  K1, s1, k1 passo
  Cast Off

  Sew in the centre of the back of the piece

  Attach a chunky button to the middle of the front.
