A rockin' nintendo controller messenger
 <  Image 1 of 3  >

I knit this for a Retro Video Game Swap on Craftster. I wish I had the patience to knit for a million hours in one solid color so I could make myself one, but I just don't see it happening, unfortunately.

The controller part was knit using a combination of intarsia and fairisle. There is also some embroidery on there, and the A and B buttons are crocheted then sewn on.

I used Caron Perfect match for the black, Red Heart for the grey and the red pen pocket was something I had in my stash.

The big koopa is cross-stitched and sewn on. Had I thought about it more, I would have made the pocket it's sitting above look like a brick from the game... maybe if I ever make a [smaller] version of this for myself I will do that.

Also, it's about 11 inches high by 14 inches wide.

The little black thing that in the last picture is a little change purse that I made from the swatch.

I made the chart by hand while looking at a controller, and when I find it I'll convert it into an excel doc so I can share it with everyone!

Amazing! I would never know, or have enough time to do it though, so I give my props to you!
